Prehistoric Path
Guy came up with the concept of an outdoor geology park and hands-on museum for Edwardsville High school in Edwardsville, Illinois. Called the "Prehistoric Path", it consists of a grand, circular cement pathway representing the geologic time scale. Arranged by geologic age along the pathway are dozens of actual fossil and rock specimens, some weighing over 1,000 lbs. The visitors can walk through millions of years of time, touching and viewing actual fossils along the way.
Sparkling with thousands of quartz crystals, this 1 ton boulder will be on display along the "Prehistoric Path".
This huge boulder is a fossilized colony of stromatolites, it was created 500 million years ago by tiny life-forms called cyanobacteria. Stromatolites were responsible for producing the Earths oxygen supply.
